Location: Slovenia (preferred) / EU

We’re hiring a full-time NPI Manager (mid-senior level) as the primary link between R&D and Supply Chain, preferably based in the EU/SLO region (remote with regular office visits possible). This pivotal position will drive the successful transition of product designs into full-scale production, overseeing contract manufacturer collaboration, prototype builds, certification milestones, and cross-functional alignment. It’s a key opportunity to directly influence the future of our hardware development and grow into a strategic leadership role as Bird Buddy continues its global expansion.

Key Outcomes?

  • Faster development and introduction of new hardware products (shorter timelines).
  • Less risk, uncertainties, delays, mishappenings in hardware development.
  • Better initial quality and BOM of new products (better capabilities, less cost).

Key Responsibilities?

  • Driving the planning and execution of New Product Introduction (NPI) builds, including scope, schedule, and design release deadlines.
  • Aligning cross-functional teams around critical path tasks, priorities, and milestones.
  • Assessing and communicating risks early while ensuring timely involvement of suppliers.
  • Building business case inputs, including CoGS estimates, NRE costs, and sales forecasts.
  • Planning production ramp-up, distribution strategy, and sales-ready volumes per channel.

Key Qualifications?

  • Bachelor/Master in Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering or alike.
  • Project Management experience (min 2 years) from similar position in consumer electronics industry.
  • Commercial understanding (time to market, estimating CoGS at ramp-up, NPI cost vs lifetime CoGS).
  • Stakeholder management: Driving the team forward and keeping all aligned on schedule/priorities/cost. Challenge stakeholders and push-back when schedules become over-optimistic.
  • Aptitude for startups and fast innovation, pragmatism, and resilience to uncertainty.
