I love BirdBuddy!
I love my BirdBuddy – pictures are great, software and hardware work fine, and customer service has been attentive and extra supportive. This is a new product they have been developing, and I like being a part of it. I don’t expect perfection out of the box, and I have enjoyed participating in all the rollouts of new features. The FB group makes us feel like part of the family

Excellent for Entertainment or Science
I used to use trail cameras to identify and record data on species at my feeders. I would have to look throughout thousands of photos just to pick a few. Now Bird Buddy does this for me! The AI also identifies the species (although it is still learning) which is helpful for inexperienced birders. They are continually asking their community for new ideas and criticisms for future projects.

Morning coffee with the birds
There’s nothing like having your morning coffee while opening beautiful pictures and videos of your backyard birds who visit this feeder. The app is easy to use and the quality of the images is unmatched. I cannot recommend the Bird Buddy enough!

Bird Buddy Adventure
Bird Buddy has given us an adventure in our backyard. We can see birds (and other animals) very close with lots of detail and personality. We look forward to the postcards and videos of new birds and our regular visitors.

Great product for nature lovers!
I am in love with my BirdBuddy since I got it! It took the birds in my garden a few days to find it, but once they got used to it I’m getting a lot of activity, and I couldn’t enjoy it more! The cute bird postcards brighten up my days, and with longer days and the solar roof attachment I barely need to recharge the battery, which is also great!

My favourite smart gadget so far
As this has been a Kickstarter campaign, the waiting period was quite long. Nevertheless, the final product is awesome. Really lights up my day in the office when I get notified about new visitors in our garden.

Great gift for bird lovers
The quality of the pics and videos are fantastic. The support and steady development of the firmware is great.

After a lot of research and consultation, we’ve come to the conclusion that any attempt to prevent squirrels from visiting would be a futile task. Instead, we focused on making sure that the materials used will be able to withstand significant damage, which should prevent the squirrels from destroying the feeder itself. Right now our priorities lie in making sure that no harm could come to our feathered friends. We’ve shared some best humane practices to keep your squirrels away from your feeder here.
We strive to provide you with accurate delivery estimates based on the availability of our products. For items eligible for next day shipping, you can expect them to arrive promptly. However, for products scheduled to arrive by the end of July or in August, we kindly ask for your patience as we ensure each order is carefully fulfilled. Rest assured, we are working diligently to get your feathered friends’ new treats to your doorstep as quickly as possible.

This version of Bird Buddy sadly does not have local storage, which means it does require a Wi-Fi connection. Once Bird Buddy is connected to your home Wi-Fi, it uses that connection to send the stream to your mobile device. We are looking into local storage options for the future versions of Bird Buddy. If you’re having trouble connecting your feeder to your Wi-Fi network, you may need to install a Wi-Fi extender to boost your signal into your backyard.
